What is the most spectacular thing you have seen on a hunting trip?

It can be anything really.

As an example;
Mine was being on a mountain high above the timber line big horn sheep hunting. We had to camp the night. And as evening came there was a lighting storm a few thousands feet below us and the Milky Way galaxy above us. The stars seemed so close and vivid, the clouds below lit up by the lighting flashes and we watched the sun set hundreds of miles away past numerous purple/red mountain ranges.

What did you experience that dazzled you?
Thanks for the great answers.

    2 coyotes were having sex and my uncle shot them both dead on with one bullet.

    A sunset over a cotton field with a tractor in the field. And a few doves flying over the field. The sky was a mixture of reds, yellows, oranges, purples, and some dark blues… Seeing something like that makes you just stop and be thankful for what you have.

    a deer hit by lightning. it was in 2006, and i was closing up a barn door, facing our meadow, which was where the wind usually blows in, from the north. it was a doe, and she was just standing there eating with a few others. started drizzling and she got hit. burned all the hair off, and pretty much split her in two.

    I saw a boy kill his first deer, with his dad, but the thing that was dazzling was the minute that the boy hugged his father and thanked him for hunting with him.

    Pussyfootin my way up a hill and had two juvenile fishers come to check me out. The female hung back, a few yards, but her brother came within my arm’s reach trying to scent me and figure out what kind of thing I was. Bright little eyes and whiskers twitching, coats shining in the light that filtered down through the pines. They jumped and tumbled, chasing each other through downed logs and up lichen shaggy trunks.

    I was jet skiing ( sorry guys, was summer i was not hunting ) and we were about 3 miles out and we saw a deer’s head in the water it was swimming across to an island at least 2KM away and there were huge waves and every time one would go over her head we’d expect her not to come back up. That friggin deer swam at least 4km total nonstop in a decent chop, and when it hit land it sprung over a fence and was a shadow into the woods, Makes you appreciate the power of these animals.

    A guy getting so plastered that he fell into the camp fire. Even funnier was that no one pulled him out. Damn I love hunting.

    I guess most of us have seen two big bucks fight on tv or hunting videos. I got to watch two fight early one morning. They can sure put on a show. Four doe stood by watching them. The fight didn’t last but for about 2 minutes or so. But it was a once in a lifetime thing to see.
