Traditional hunting is what you want it to be. You can go as far as you like. You can make your own arrows, arrowheads, etc., or you can buy them. If you aren’t asking about clothing, and you have a bow and arrows, sounds like all you need is a quiver, and a knife to skin whatever you shoot.
quiver and a target to practice. plus patience because you have to wait for animals to come closer to you than you would with a rifle. oh and finger guards
Well the fred bear grizzly recurve bow, a fine classic design bow at that, to a purist is not a traditional bow. A recurve yes but not in the class of traditional archery. One step farther to a long bow and you will put yourself in the traditional class. The Patriot or Montana are more true to the traditional style of archery. Also shooting style is different, no releases, peeps, sights etc. It also more traditional to use wood arrows, single blade tips. No carbon arrows or aluminum. To a purist it is like stepping back into time when technology had not yet ruined the simplicity of archery almost as it were an art form. Here is a good link to get you started-

hey great !! first have your bow checked for any issues by a shop , get your arrows for your draw length as you already know, great choice on the fred brear i have 3 takedowns 76r ss,,i would start by getting a custom to the task of non sights, for trad shooting this is a must in my book,, your stance , pull and release will become as fluid as you acquire the art,, it is easy to be discourged, simple to recover, and without saying i am guessing you may have had a compound with all the gizmos and bells,, so did i so back to the issue, a simple flipper rest, a half dozen arrows i would use xx75 alum. i know wood is the trad way but they fly different,BOTTOM LINE IS WHAT I TEACH IT IS LIKE THROWING ROCKS AT A CAN OR SUCH ok you will be fine good shooting
Go natural and use just a quiver.
you need a shooting glove ar tab and a arm guard and a quiver u can find these items at 3riversarchery.com
