When I graduate college I’d like to get a Wrangler, preferably YJ or CJ but I could consider a TJ. Has anyone owned more than one of these and if so, what are the pros and cons? Any idea what they’re selling for (used) these days?
Also I’ll try to get mods at the same time, so what all should I get and about how much will they cost? I’d be using it for both a daily driver and off-roading. I know I’ll be wanting a lift of some sort plus bigger tires and a winch, but I really don’t know what I should be looking for.

I’m a teenager and my car is a Jeep Wrangler 1991 YJ. I am looking for some good modifications that aren’t that expensive (b/c I’m a teenager therefore not much money) and will make the car run better / look better. I know Jeeps are offroaders but I don’t have the need or the money for a lift kit or a winch. Any ideas? Like good dash interior or lighting parts? At this point I’m more concerned about it’s functionality as a car than it’s functionality as an offroad vehicle.

I have imported a 2004 jeep rubicon from the usa , it was lifted ect., after getting it to canada i find out i am not able to get an import inspection on a modified vehicle.
My question is… if i find a shop to lift my rubicon body off of the suspenion what models of stock jeeps will it fit on ? I will be doing this to get my inspection ,once that is done i will switch my rubicon body back to the modified suspenion . I dont care if the vehicle i have to purchase is 2 wheel or 4 wheel just need to open up my options and know that if i buy a tj, sport or yj that the bodys will switch , i think this is my easiest option other than vin# swap which is not an etical option.

I’m looking to buy a ‘92 YJ Jeep Wrangler Sahara. It came stock with the carbed 4.2L I-6, but now has an injected 4.0L I-6. 40k miles on the new motor, clutch and trans. its a 5-speed. what are some common problems with these Jeeps? it’s lifted on 33’s. I’m really trying to avoid buying another problem car, seeing as my mercury is already one headache after another. I was also looking at another YJ last summer but it had fully-custom made driveshafts for it’s lift, so i figured if that went i would be looking at big $$$. i appreciate any help. thanks much!

How bad are they really. I mean, i am working on turning my yj into an off road machine, and i just wanted to know how easy are they to really break. I dont off road that often but i dont want them to break when i do. Is it a really good investment, or just a… well u can if u want thing. Imadding a 4inch rough country lift and a 2 or 3 inch body lift and the 3 inch tire combo on jcwhitney. Any suggestions on making it tougher. I fixed up the engine real well, new intake, exhaust, computer, ect. I just needsome imput for the under body stuff

I have a 1989 YJ Wrangler. I am installing a Chevy 350 with a TH350 tranny and a NP205 transfer case. Front and rear axles are Dana 44. Tires will be 33 X 12.5 on a 4″ suspension lift. I want to do mostly offroading, but don’t want it to be a dog on the highway getting there, either. Can anyone calculate what gear ratio I should go with?
