Hi. I want to replace the shocks on my 87 XJ. I brought it with a lift, and I think it could use some new shocks. I’m leaning towards Edelbrock Xtreme Remote Resivoir shocks, but not sure how much maintanence they will need. I’m also considering Rubicon Express and the Edelbrock Xtreme IAS Shock Absorber. Are these really what I want? I understand the remote resivoir shocks are totally different from the other two. I usually do moderate wheeling, rarely any highspeed desert runs, and some water/mud. Thanks for your inputs and suggestions.

Are Budget Boost lift kits good kits? I’m thinking more specifically a Rubicon Express 2″ lift. I know nothing about them and I want to get a couple extra inches of height on my 08 Wrangler X. any help is appreciated!

I am going to go to 35’s for daily driving and 37’s for trails .. do I need to regear to get my engine more power so its not lugging everytime I drive ti?

I need to know how to tell the difference between a dana 35 axle and a chrysler 8.25. I understand that the dumpster divers at Chrysler used several different ones. I know it is not the dana 44 & it would be stock, not the Ford 8.8. I want to buy my husband a Rubicon express 5.5 inch lift for his jeep, but I need to know what rear axle is in it. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m putting a Rusty’s or Rubicon Express 2″ budget boost on my 97 ZJ and am wondering if i can possibly fit 31×10.5″ tires on it or if i should go a smaller size to avoid rubbing. I will be doing some off roading but nothing heavy.

I know people have used Upcountry Grand Cherokee V8 coils and Dakota rear leafs the achieve lift and decent flex. I’m on a college student’s budget but would like to get a budget lift that would give me decent flex. I don’t plan on going above 3-3.5″ of lift and I don’t mind a somewhat firm ride. Also I know for a fact that it won’t match RE’s lifts for sure, but I want something that can deliver. Anyone have experience building a lift from salvage parts?
I’m not gonna use salvaged lift kits. Just parts from misc vehicles like I said.

I have a ZJ and the BDS 3″ costs about 800 and the Rubicon 3.5″ costs about 1300. Which would be the better choice
