Can a convicted felon do bow hunting in the state of MN?

In Wisconsin, a convicted felon cannot possess a firearm, but they can hunt with a bow. Is this also the case in Minnesota?

i would not rely soley on the advice of someone from yahoo answers on this matter, you may end up in jail and telling the judge that some guy on yahoo answers gave me the wrong advice may end you up in jail. contact your local police dept, there you can get the right information

Yes, convicted felons are generally allowed to use bows for hunting, but you really should contact your local government center (i.e., County Courthouse) for the real information.

Don’t bother with the local cops, though…unless they can be trusted to not tell you “No, you can’t use a bow” because they don’t want you to use one. Yes, I’ve known some cops who have done this kind of thing. (“We don’t dust for finger-prints – they only do that in TV shows….” — a direct quote from one of the local “Law Enforcement Officers” here concerning a report of a stolen car which was later found by…the victim. Not by the cops.)
